KU's Danielle McCray was named to the preseason Wooden Award watch list. McCray is one of 31 players named to the preseason list. The award is presented to the best players, both men and women, in college basketball.

Los Angeles — Kansas senior All-American Danielle McCray was named a preseason candidate for the 2009-10 women’s basketball John R. Wooden Award on Thursday.
McCray averaged a team-leading 21.6 points and 7.7 rebounds as a junior. She’s the first player in Kansas women’s history to be named a candidate for the Wooden Award.
