The guys (Eric Sorrentino, Matt Tait, Jesse Newell) hold a fantasy draft of the Big 12 coaches. Not only that, when the picks are completed, the guys then must choose a head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator on their own teams. So who did best? Make your voice heard in our online poll.

My fantasy big 12 coaching staff would be the up start crew. I'm going with some young guns. I picked some fiery guys that the players would love... eventually haha.
Head Coach: Mangino
Offensive Coordinator: Leach
Defensive Coordinator: Pelini
Special Teams: Gundy
I think my coaches are somewhat unproven compared to stoops, brown, and snyder but that is why I like them. Also, I think I would pick will mushcamp before pinkel and hawkins!

Mangino ahead of the great Bob Stoops, Mack Brown? No way! But seriously, any man who can come to Kansas and win a BCS bowl game has to be at the top. Right? Remember what everyone including our own so-called fans, used to say about the chances of Kansas football finishing above deadlast in the conference?

Love the Mangino pick as head coach. I mean, the guy is able to do quite a bit with lesser talent than the Stoops's and Browns of the college football world. Despite that, I had to go with the better overall team and the one with some good defense. With the way the Big 12 is right now, most any team that can play some good defense will be in a good position to challenge for the conference title.

Stoops and Mack are the first to come to mind but close inspection may lead you to Mangino. "Big Game Bob" has been coming up short in big games the last several years. And the criticism of Mack has long been "great recruiter but not a great game coach". Stoops and Mack have NC rings but don't forget that Mangino does, too.
