Got to go with Jesse's team first. It's the best defensive squad by far and has the best balance at each position. The potential weakest player may be Johnson, because he is unproven, but we know EJ is extremely athletic and given some time to play he'd surely become a respectable point on this team and I think he would surpass Tyshawn and become the second best point guard from these teams (obviously behind Sherron).

Second best team I go with DJ's behind the leadership of Sherron. There are some big unknowns down around the post with Jeff and Thomas, but that becomes overshadowed by Sherron's leadership skills that will push the rest of the squad into over-achievement (just like what happened this past year with our Jayhawks).

Kevin's team has to be last. There would be chemistry issues with this bunch and then there is the weakest player of all the teams, Connor, creating a gap for the other two teams to exploit.

Good podcast, but no one else ever mentions the poor sound quality. Or more specifically the volume differences among each of you at different times. One person is really loud and then the other is so quiet I can barely understand them. I listen at work and in my car/on my motorcycle. I turn it up to hear the quiet parts and get blown out when someone gets loud. It makes it really hard to enjoy. Especially on the motorcycle. Sometimes I just have to skip it because I can't be reaching to turn it up and down all of the time while listening. And that is not fun because I really enjoy the chatter. Thanks.

areimer — Thanks for the feedback. I'm still working on perfecting our podcasts with a new program we're using. Hopefully, they'll get better as we go.

Great stuff guys! The draft was a brilliant idea.
The teams aren't even close.
First place: Newell. Morningstar was an absolute steal going that low. I'd take him over Tyshawn Taylor, Jeff Withey, and T Rob in a heartbeat.
Second: Whetter. Too much youth in the front court, and neither is ove 230 if I'm not mistaken, so kinda thin too.
Last: Romary. Yikes. Give his team fourth place, downgraded from third for not having the guts to choose between Cole and Sherron if he had the first pick.

KU has a baseball team? Who knew?!

Speaking of awesome episodes of the Spodcasters, what ever happened to Ryan Wood? That guy made every Spodcasters he was on 3x more entertaining.

Newell first, Whetter second, Romary third. If Robinson and Withey are as good as advertised, I'd take Whetter's team come tournament time.

There are more ballhandlers than post players, so I'm surprised by Sherron being #1. That being said, if DJ uses his last pick to take Travis, I'd choose his team in a heartbeat.

This was a fun idea. My vote is for the Wetter Is Better All-Stars (as opposed to the other two all-star teams). By the end of the season, CJ Henry going as the No. 13 pick will look like Paul Pierce going as a No. 10, or Tom Brady going in the 6th round of the NFL draft. Besides being a professional-caliber athlete, CJ's 23 years old -- and Bill Self wanted him as a 19-year-old kid out of high school.

I also have high hopes for the other addition who isn't a part of Rivals.com's sixth best recruiting class of the year, Jeff Withey. Can't wait to see him play, especially if he goes hard core in the weight room from now until October. Anybody 6'10" who's quick and can run has got to be useful.
