Recap: Title game a foul affair for 'Cats
The graph actually has KU losing points at one point in the second half. No more whining from KSU fans about bad officiating. :)

Reed big against Missouri
No offense, Keegan, but you know for a fact that Stacy Reed never really hassled the local paper for more coverage of Reed, since Jesse Newell wrote for the Emporia Gazette (the largest paper in the area) during Reed's senior year.
Or was that a line you slipped in intended as an inside joke?

FINAL: Marcus Morris scores 20 as KU holds off Nebraska, 75-64
Normally I wouldn't be scared, but I also worry about us looking past Nebraska towards our Big Monday matchup at Texas. We can't take a day off in the Big 12, even if we are at home.

A Letter to the Fans
Likely not the best time to post this, given all the coverage our fanbase has received in how well we represented in Philly.
Also, the Belmont game you reference was over Winter Break, so many of our regular students were not in attendance, and roads were still bad from the winter storms.
No one is saying we have "average" fans. Except people who want us to behave as crazy and overzealous as the average Kentucky fan.

Kansas center Cole Aldrich pulls back for a two-handed jam before the Temple defense during the seco
This was one of my favorite plays of the game. It highlighted the chemistry between our two All Americans on a silky-smooth play, all while showing we can still be this intense while maintaining a commanding lead.

FINAL: KU overwhelms Temple, 84-52
Should be a good game, and don't worry, Jesse, a cheesesteak in Philly is still a cheesesteak in Philly, even if it doesn't come from Gino's.
I'm fairly confident about this game. I like how our team responded when an Alcorn State assistant coach tried to talk trash, and this team has been reading the gift-wrapped board material for a couple weeks now. I'm waiting for an alley-oop to Cole to start the whole game off.

KUSports.com online editor Jesse Newell and Journal-World sports editor Tom Keegan take a look at wh
Jesse, I love your analysis, you usually hit things that even a highly-trained sports analyst like myself don't see.
However, I have to ask why you throw up the Texas Longhorns sign whenever referencing the 'Hawk to Rock? Yes, I realize it's a universal symbol for "rock," but if you ask most Texas fans, they just assume Ozzy Osbourne is just a really big Texas football fan.
Just sayin'.

Would you want Missouri joining the Big Ten?
I'll be completely honest, I like the publicity the Border War has generated not just for KU-Mizzou, but for the Big 12 as a whole. Keeping the conference together is certainly the way to go.
Really, I dislike Mizzou. But I LOVE the fact that I dislike Mizzou. If we didn't play them at least twice each year in basketball, I think that dislike would just turn to idle dismissal. To keep the rivalry fresh, we need to keep things inside the Big 12. I mean, really, who would our big rival be if they left, KSU? Riiight.

Ex-player accuses Mangino of mistreatment
"I'm not a journalist or an expert in journalistic ethics.."
Thanks, Gavin, that's all I needed to hear before reading your rant.
It's an ethically-sound story, and Dugan and the editors I'm sure jumped through hoops just to get this story to print. The story isn't about the confirmation these guys saw it - you don't need quotes saying "Yup, that happened. That was crazy stuff, man." And there was a paragraph early on saying "Mangino couldn't be reached for comment."
As for not running the pictures, most media outlets have strict ethical policies regarding running imagery of any injuries. This ranges from war photography to seeing an athlete on a field/court with a leg snapped in half. And that's something that's not negligible from most Ombudsmen. Images of 2nd degree hand burns certainly falls under that category.
Lay off the LJW. They did a good job here. We ride them enough for little errors, but need to credit them where credit is due.
But, you know, nice job on being a journalism expert and all. Really, it's working out well for you.
