Jayhawks slow to start

Oakville - I agree with your concerns. I'm hoping for the best but after watching the UT vs Tech game I know it's not going to be easy.
Before the season I was worrying about the game in Boulder. I guess I bought Dan Hawkins' hype. Now I predict that Hawkins will be fired right after we leave town with the win.

Duke strikes a nerve

I totally agree with your sentiment, Keegan. Krzyzewski's little crooked mouth belongs at a school with a devil as the mascot. I've always been a KU football fan and I love it that the Jayhawks are starting to get respect for being more than just a basketball school. Duke folks on the other hand, console themselves by believing that they get the same respect as an Ivy league school for their academics. It's a falsehood of course but Duke people believe it. Some wienie reading this post believes it also and will want to challenge my point but don't bother. I've heard the evidence and it's unconvincing. Just ask yourself one question - if they were a great school academically, why do they accept so many witless ninnies as students?
Scheduling a football match-up with Duke was a great move. We already hate them and we have an excellent opportunity to spank the devil out of them.

5. Knocked Out, Still Standing (2008):
I was in Lincoln surrounded by a bunch of Husker fans when I got to see this one. It was beautiful to hear the guy next to me shout "What the Hell???" My memory of Reesing looking so invincible at that moment over shadows the memory of the loss.
The loss did suck of course and I can't wait to see Todd and the gang humiliate Nebraska this year.

Former Kansas football player Shanklin dies

Bummer.
I remember praying that Shanklin would return the kick off and score on Penn State after they got ahead in the closing minutes of the '69 Orange Bowl. It didn't happen but he had done so many amazing things that season, that I really thought it would.
I'm sorry he's gone.
