Great flashback Jesse! I was there and it was one of the best MU KU games ever. You may recall that Roy got a T because he threw his jacket in the stands. The refs thought he was upset after a call, but he said it was because something Gooden did. Gooden made some bone head mistakes that year that drove Roy crazy.

Frederick, a friend, will be missed by all

Bob was a great man who did so many great things for the University and all those involved with college athletics. Sad day for me, all Jayhawks, and the many others across the country that he so dearly touched. He will be deeply missed.

In the end, Hemenway finally grasped importance of sports at KU

I suffered through college for four years with Terry Allen and he was a complete and absolute disaster. I will never forget getting beat by an awful SMU team on the first game of the year in 2001. How can you say he wasn't a disaster? Did you watch the same games I did. Thank you Mark Mangino! You can work miracles.

How do you like them apples?

I actually have seen this kid play several times. He is a good player and has a laid back personality on the court. Personally, I like the idea of taking some experienced guards that are ready to play right out of the gate. That is what Bill did to build his program at Tulsa.
